International Beer Day
August has arrived. For most people it’s the time of their long-awaited vacation, and for brewers it’s the time to brew beer. Not just any beer, but a beer for you! A master brewer is sure to put a part of his soul into it, and then the beer turns out real, good!
You can’t drink beer alone, except for one glass to quench your thirst. Beer is made for people and brings them together. This is probably why International Beer Day was created. It is celebrated on the first Friday in August all over the world.
t was first held in 2007 in Santa Cruz (California, USA) and for several years had a fixed date – August 5, but as the geography of the holiday has expanded, so has its date. Since 2012, it has been celebrated everywhere on the first Friday in August. It is also an international holiday and a family holiday, as it is celebrated in pubs and within the family.
My friends, if you decide to stay home this evening, be sure to check to see if you have any beer in the fridge. And if you’re going out with friends, be sure to make reservations for everyone at your favorite pub. It’s going to be crowded in there today.
Happy Holidays and good beers to everyone!
